   @ DeathDealer89 I was under the impression my town that tried last time couldn't participate. The Fortune Teller didn't seem to respond when I tried anything from there. So I will try again from scratch but with a different town.

	I made a post about re-doing the steps, and we don't know how. I'm using a different town this time. https://forum.illyriad.co.uk/how-to-reset-the-audrey-quest_topic11141.html In the 1st town I tried with last year, I tried to redo the steps. I got the fortune teller message, but the old crone never visited. I sent a messenger to Duraz Karag anyway, and got the normal message, not the one for the quest. I wish we know more about this part.

	RatCo. will be pledging at least 1 million XP to the feeding of Audrey. Be it to awaken her, or to sate her appetite after she has started beating. Remember, it's not enough to just feed her until she wakes up. We need to feed her after she wakes too. However many millions it takes to receive the message we need to advance with the quest, the message we haven't received since 2014: "The horror has stirred, *and the fools continue to feed it*..."

	2 weeks out until go time! Remember, for anyone who wants to help solve the quest, here are the steps: Wait until the start of December Send as many troops as you can at the Heart of Corruption. Scouts, Cavalry, Spears, everything. Every little helps, if you can only spare a few thousand, send a few thousand. Keep sending, even after Audrey wakes. We don’t stop until we get the system message telling us that the Horror has stirred, and we have continued to feed it. Send at the Heart. That is where your sacrifices matter. Troops by the millions need to be sacrificed to the Heart once Audrey wakes. Not the temples. I sent a mail out to leaders of all the alliances I could think of with more detail. If anyone hasn’t received it and wants it, message me on Remy/Skreech Verminking. For anyone worried that their troops won’t make it to the Heart on time to be sacrificed, Audrey beats for around 2-3 weeks iirc, so you have time. Could also send at the end of November, but still you shouldn’t have problems if you send your armies shortly after she starts beating. Edited by Remy - 15 Nov 2024 at 11:19

	I tend to specialise in spamming the temples once the heart starts beating. There are limits to the number of diplomatic missions at any one time BECAUSE people were sending 1,000's of cheap scouts one at a time. Only one tentacle ever drops when you send units (trade/diplo/military to the temples. No-one sends armies to the temples. Armies to the heart only. Human and Elf tentacles are common. Dwarf less so. Orc tentacles are rare. I will trade tentacles on a 1:1 ratio except Orc tentacles which are worth 2 dwarf tentacles. Once units are transformed, they slow down but they also no longer count to your diplomatic missions. Hence I always maintain a bunch sitting around so I can go to a city and send another 20. The drop rate, if I remember correctly, is around 5%+/-. If you work on minimising the keystrokes you can send around 10 per minute. In the old days, the server almost "exploded" as the number of diplomatic missions went into overload.

	Yeah, cheap missions to the temples are what we do to get tentacles. Large amounts of troops are what we send to the Heart of Darkness in order to advance and solve the quest. That is the important part, there is no use to tentacles whatsoever if we're not going to solve the quest. Again, we need to send troops to the Heart of Darkness while Audrey is beating. Any armies/diplos sacrificed to the Heart are very very helpful! as a tip for people farming tentacles, you can use caravans. 	Just send one empty caravan... 70 of them x 10 cites = 35 tentacles approximately.

	It's go time! Feed Audrey! and do not stop! Feed Audrey until she wakes up and do NOT stop feeding her. Feed Audrey even after she wakes up. Feed her until she is "sated." No, we don't know what "sated" means, but it is what we are trying to figure out. If you want to attempt the quest, but haven't done the steps yet, you might not have time to get the steps done. Maybe wait for the next attempt. The messenger has to get to Duraz Karag before Audrey wakes up, and she could wake up any day now. Everyone attempting the quest should have the steps done - spies to the Fortune Teller, old crone visit, and messenger to Duraz Karag. Audrey will eat everything and anything, so you can send armies or diplomats. Send directly to the Heart of Corruption (Audrey), and not to the temples. This is about the quest, and not about trying to get corrupted tentacles by sending to the temples. Getting corrupted tentacles is a separate event, and requires a separate conversation.
