The persistence is awesome! Thanks guys. Previously I was using browser history to get back to where I was on the map (handy for sending out caravans to resource dumps). Now it's much easier.

More zoom still to come, but hope you like the new persistance!

That, and be able to zoom out a couple more times. Personally, I like to see a bit more of the map at a time. |
Go make your own map
But yes, more zoom and a larger map would be cool. It consumes a pitiful amount of pixels on my moderately sized laptop screen, and just looks silly on large desktop screens.

Took a little zooming and scrolling, but I found a fine clay pit on the world map, and I wanted to send a crew to plunder it. But I had to dive into the trade interface to cancel a market offer to free up a caravan. Then on the world map, I had to scroll and zoom around again to find my target.
It would be nice (not a requirement, but a "would be nice" feature) to have the world map remember how it was set up when I left it. I suppose you'd also want a "Go home" button for when you got totally lost.

Good idea Rattle... I know there is a ticket in for this suggestion and SC is stirring it around in his cauldron atm... (along with the eyes of newt and bat tongues).
