Yes, thank you for keeping your particular brand of opinion out of this one, St Jude.
Also, Mananan... Was this really necessary? Five alliances against them did not open negotiations. Six didn't. You really believe seven might?
Valar is as Azreil does, and no one else's opinion can change that. The decision rests with him and him alone, and threatening him with more force is NOT a good idea. Propose a ceasefire instead, and take this to the negotiations table, not the field of blood, death and baked trouts.
I agree with Squill here, this is becoming a lynch mob. Civil War Era America, anyone?

The more involved, the quicker Valar will fall (obviously), it also has been said that many alliances are involved because their friends are, once one group is satisfied the others will bow out as well.

This was the thinking that brought us World War I. Will this end the same way? After everyone has demonized and grown to hate their enemy and imposed their terms for surrender will we end up with Illy's own Versailles treaty and a nearly destroyed, impoverished once-great power whose only thoughts are a desire for revenge?
The French hated Germany and determined to crush the country so that it would never again be a threat. Kaiser Wilhelm's lack of diplomatic savvy allowed the coalition to form which made this defeat and punishment possible. We know how that story ended. Does anyone really want to follow that road again?
At this point we all know Valar is going to lose. Let them lose with some dignity.

Okay, I know this comes from someone who's on the opposite side from Valar, but all this ganging up on them is ridiculous... How many of these alliances have an actual reason to join this war? If it's just as support to other alliances, I highly doubt they need any support right now. Valar is pretty outnumbered, don't you know?

By the looks of it Azreil is not going to come to the table. What is happening is the bigger players in the alliance getting lynched. They are treated as 'strategic assets of an evil force' rather than individuals with thoughts and feelings. They don't even know what the 'sins of Valar' are. They dont have the option to desert their ranks and flee when they don't know why they are being attacked for.

Very well said Ander. It's a pity that these large players are being whittled down just because they are "strategic assets". Boromir and Viktor are already down in pop, while I do not even see a justification for attacking E5C4P3.
And as LoTS has said on another thread, there's a Valar member of population 13000+ being attacked by an mCrow member of 72000+. Looks like this war is giving the "GOOD" side the opportunity to bully small players just because they are in Valar. And you call Valar the bully and evil. Shame on you.

Manannan -
I've always had great respect for you. We've always seemed to be on the same page, with a live-and-let-live approach and a penchant for helping new players in Illy. I was wondering when you would speak out against the naked aggression of H?/DLords, or the bile-filled slanders of Lorre. Now at least you act...
... to join the jackals.

I agree with everything in this post, save for one word. Becoming- this already is a lynch mob.

It always seemed that people did not bother smaller players because they believed in a live-and-let-live approach. Did they do it only so as to not to give the bigger fish a reason to come after them? When their own victory is assured, would they grab the chance to bully someone?
