Topic: Wheel Joins The Fray Posted: 01 Oct 2011 at 00:00 |
Yes fellow Illyrians its true. Wheel of Time has thrown its hat into the ring to be counted with the other voices. This has not been a knee jerk reaction and has been careful considered by the alliance leadership and the opinions and concerns of the membership listened to. I have keep all members up to date with global affairs and unsurprisingly not one member has spoken out in objection to our planned declaration.
Our hope is that the numbers amassing will force common sense to be seen and negotiations to be opened to end the conflict quickly by the actual leadership and not by the members as it is at the moment. Do not be mistaken though we will not be sitting idly by on the side lines. WoT is dedicated to the protection of all its members and its allies and will no longer sit in the shadows whilst its friends take beatings and get trolled.
Ours is not a moral crusade but one of friendship. A friend in need is a friend in deed. We begin to repay our debts today.
By the way, no ignorant comments...

Okay, I know this comes from someone who's on the opposite side from Valar, but all this ganging up on them is ridiculous... How many of these alliances have an actual reason to join this war? If it's just as support to other alliances, I highly doubt they need any support right now. Valar is pretty outnumbered, don't you know? I'm not trying to attack anyone in specific, but I just felt the need to say that even if you don't like Valar, you can see that this situation is getting out of hand.

Each and every alliance involved has more than a good enough reason to join the war (thusly dubbed the purging). Also, the more that get involved, the quicker we'll see resolution come about. Your post made me remember a quote I heard/read somewhere (I have no idea where), but it went something like: The true measure of a man is not by the number and strength of his friends, but that of his enemies (sorry, I'm sure I butchered it pretty badly).

I disagree. All these alliances are going to have different terms for Valar and could quite possibly drag on the conflict as each alliance does for whatever it is they feel they need to do.

perhaps you're thinking about a Caesar's phrase that can be translated as "many enemies, lot of honor"... it's meaning is that you'll be honoured if you fight even if badly outnumberd, indipendetly of the outcome This said, to me, dlord, mcrow and wot are nothing but jackals.

The more involved, the quicker Valar will fall (obviously), it also has been said that many alliances are involved because their friends are, once one group is satisfied the others will bow out as well.
