It's fairly common for forums admins to disallow public discussion of modding actions, as it tends to erode community respect for the authorities. Admins with such a policy usually welcome any and all comments and feedback on modding actions via PM. On the other hand, said admins also post those policies in prominent positions on their forums, often in more than one place.
So yeah, You should know better, because it's so common; but they should also know that rules should be posted before they are enforced. I suggest both sides admit their fault, correct their mistakes, and move on with the topic at hand...or let it (the topic at hand) die, as the case may be.
After all, I dont think anyone has anything new to say on the topic. They may have new ways to say it, but it's all been said before.
Just my opinions, in case anyone is interested.

Any other unwritten rules or partisan affiliations you would like to disclose?

@hypocritical re the terrible acts you fear INV may commit in future... Probably none. INV's leader is one of the best, friendliest and fairest people I've ever met in any game. With the amount of worrying you're doing about the future, it's a wonder you're having any fun. As the original titla of this thread is, "What to do with H?" I'll answer your quotation with another.
What to do with H? "Live and let live."
re your lumping me with H?, you might as well lump me with any other guild I'm not in. =p Wuzzel was the first person I met in this game, Shadar was the second, and Starry (head of T?) was the third. I have no agenda in my posts, other than stating the truth as I see it.

In regards to the Martin Niemoller quote earlier in the thread.
We try to censor as little as possible, we want an open forum for discussion where context is what matters, not a single word out of context.
The text quoted here isn't specifically aimed at a specific nazi theme, rather it is a "lesson" to beware tyranny and discrimenation with world war 2 as it's backdrop.
Given this I don't see any problems quoting it in this debate.
Do note though that had this or another quote been used to specifically call H? nazi's the situation would have been very different. We give a great deal of freedom with the understanding that this freedom will be used in a mature and non flamatory manner, we reserve the right to decide what this constitutes on a case by case basis.

Bartimeus. This is what this is all about. Its his opinion, he might understand your opinion, or not.. but I don't think he forgot about your post there. He just doesn't agree with it as you don't agree with him.
I don't agree with H? sieging my 22k city over a small issue in the past. I DO agree that H? needs to point out that if there are things that happend in the past, they have to be settled. Only in my opinion they do this with too much force with isn't really ballanced with the ''bad'' things I might have done.
I am only argueing about all of this because there's 1 H? members that has spread some lies about me, and H? might think its not mature from me to go public on this all, I don't think its mature to start lies about someone with your allaince backing you up.
And thats also the reason why I personally don't want this thread to be closed. Alot of wise words are said here, more than in any other topic (and even from H? I admit) so I'm just curious what else can be said here. |
Translation: It was okay for me to be on the offensive, but now that its the other way around, I will just complain in these forumns until someone listens....

Guys-- I thought SC made his position pretty clear about Nazi/Holocaust references... Why are you doing it? |
Because human rights violations = nazis.
I could say Maximillian Robespiere and you'd think he was a nazi because he violated human rights.

I am not amused.
