I find that it is darn rude and unhospitable to all our unaffiliated co-players out there in Illyriad that the forums do not reflect current events - such as official conflicts/war and the like. Even if youre a small player you are likely to be curious of the ongoings of Illyriad.

So I would like to encourage everyone to post any update on war declarations, or similar "good-to-know" information here in this thread.

I think this thread would do best to stick to the clear and simple facts.   With that in mind:

29 Sep 2013 12:00   Celtic Knights (xCKx) declare on Roman Empire (RE)
29 Sep 2013 23:29    Night Crusaders (~NC~) declare on Celtic Knights (xCKx)
08 Oct 2013 00:02  The Crow's Wings (uCrow) declare on Night Crusaders (~NC~)
14 Oct 2013 21:43  Altaira (ALT) declare on Night Crusaders (~NC~)

That is very interesting, I missed out on Altaira declaring war on Night Crusaders.

CK and RE are currently in truce mode (and talking) which has lasted for 5 days so far. The whole small thing would have been over in 4 days had NC not intervened.

Or do you mean that given the size differences that CK would have completely crushed RE by then?

The fact that NC DID intervene showed CK leadership that Bullying isn't ok... and impressed the need to talk it through?

Now imagine if they had started by talking, instead of sieging...  what horrors of war would have been unleashed then?

Sisren I understand your meaning, but lets just focus on the short simple and official declarations, I know there may be much more info/discussion/etc. about the subject that is relevant, but I fear the thread would explode in pointless bickering/discussions, so with that in mind, lets keep this thread directed at our young players and to the brief point :)

Any discussions into the motivations behind declarations should be kept in a seperate thread please.
