War reasons/goals

Why is the  war being fought - vCrow leader says it best in answer Kumo's request for discussion and peace. I personally thank him for at least being honest about vCrow's intention for the war -

You've played the game, and you've made the wrong moves for your own selfish reasons. Now you're staring down a barrel, and you know your defeat is drawing near. There's no use in trying to control the narrative. Just accept your fate, and the inevitability of defeat. You've had a great run as the #1 alliance of the server, and now you're facing your biggest challenge yet. Will you fight like the farmer soldiers you are (lol), or continue these futile attempts at delaying the inevitable?

Can we not come to some sort of agreement where small/medium (and perhaps large) alliances can sometimes play the war aspects of this game without causing Armageddon.

THIS IS AN HONEST APPEAL TO REASON.

Illyriad is simply a game. Games are meant to be played, sometimes you win, and other times you lose. That is all, thank you for your time and attention! 

It is funny because Tams arrogance is only equalled by his pride (for what I really have no idea) and is easily and readily seen in his posting. I leave his word to speak for themself.

However there is something that I wanted to address specifically because Tam is trying so hard to be as honest as possible without making himself exactly like what he describes H as doing. Note again he statement:
