thats a good idea Rune and maybe with each kill your hunters could be more effective fighting  a certain type of animal

Sometime in the probably far future they plan to introduce crafting, which means they'll giving body parts or furs needs to create certain items.

Different types of animals could result in receiving different rewards instead of just gold.
The reward could be a mixture of
* gold 
* food - everybody loves a bear steak :)
* research - always discover something new when you kill thousands of creatures in one blood bath
