I consider Valar to be good neighbors. We may be on opposite sides of this conflict but I will congratulate them on any well fought battles and I hope to be good neighbors again when the smoke clears.

I fear that this particular war, more than it's predecessors , is starting to undermine that enthusiam and energy. I think I am not the only that feels this way.

I hope that this declaration does not lead to further bitterness and prolong matters. The sooner that this war is settled and out of the way, The better for all.
Couldn't have said it better myself. +1

I have highlighted the one and only meaningful phrase in this "declaration"  as the rest of it appears to be a disclaimer of responsibilty for the possible 50 pages of posts that such a declaration will generate.

The game of Illyriad is bigger than the ego's of any individual or alliance that participates in it.  Most will agree that it's mechanics offer more possibilties, ingenuity and en joyment than many other browser games of its type.  All that is of course with thanks to the team that has developed the game adapting it to keep it an exciting experience for all ages.

A declaration of support? and what would that mean you are going to support Consone's military action or you are going to stand on the sidelines cheering loudly for Consone, give me a C....Gooooo...well you get it.

VALAR has remained pretty much silent publicly about the H? - Consone war.

I now declare our support for Consone: we will act in support of Consone.

I am not going to attempt to argue why here because I do not wish to spawn another 50 pages of point – counter point – obfuscation etc(1) - although I appreciate it may happen anyway (2).

I do not say H? are the unrelentingly evil overlords of Illyriad just that they are wrong (againWink); we have many we consider friends among Consone and few among H?; we prefer Jasche's interpretation of events and his efforts at reaching a settlement and we have of course had our own experience of H? in the past.

H? I salute you – and commend the merits of discussion with Consone to end this matter sooner rather than later!

(1) Anyone familiar with dual of wits in Burning Wheel (RPG) may think that mechanic there would nicely model a Illyriad forum debate.

(2) More peanuts anyone?
