Updates 05AUG10
A lot of updates today, so here goes:
- Rankings Page
- Now has some much more browser-friendly, non-Java-applet graphing on
it, as well as a breakdown of the contributing factors to your overall
score.
It's also much prettier than before, and you can expect to see graphs popping up all over the place in the future.
- Player & Alliance Profile
- The Player & Alliance Profiles have had some useful editing
tools added to make your profiles even more colourful and exciting than
ever before.
The Player Profile has also had the Alliance Ticker added (if the player
is a member of an alliance), and both the Alliance Name and Ticker have
been linked to the Alliance Profile.
- Player & Alliance History
- There's now a History button on the Player Profile tab so that you
can see the complete Alliance history of a player - what alliances he's
been in, and how long he was there for.
This history has also been added to the Alliance Members page, so you have a complete history of your Membership.
On the Alliance page, this history is visible to all members of the Alliance; but not the general public.
- Sovereignty category on Mail
- There's now a Sovereignty tab in your mail system, so you can
quickly sort (and insta-delete, of course), your sovereignty mails.
- Quest Title Standardisation
- Some multi-part quests were labelled (eg) 1/3 instead of (1/3), and now right-think correctly after a short visit to our Mammoth-run quest re-education camp.
- Sovereign Structure Emails
- Emails when you built a Sovereign Structure did not contain the town name of the owning town.
This has now been added.
- Buglet (resolved): Alliance Find Pagination
- A buglet that caused the "Previous" and "Next" buttons on the Alliance Find page to behave in strange ways has been resolved.
- Buglet (resolved): Discoveries Email
- When you made a Discovery, an email was directing you to look at the
Discoveries tab in the Research Summary - a tab that no longer exists
due to Sovereignty.
This email has been changed, and it now directs you to look at where your Discovery actually resides.
- Buglet (resolved): Assassinating Commanders Twice
- A buglet that allows advanced Assassins to have two goes at the same commander has been resolved.
Assassins will now try to kill two different commanders - and if there
is only one commander available to kill, they will let you know this in
their report.
- Buglet (resolved): Army Behaviour after City Capture
- A buglet that caused Armies to have a strange dual existence, reinforcing the newly captured city as well as perenially waiting outside the city trying to get in again... has been resolved.
Armies should now reinforce the city they capture, and no longer suffer an existential crisis.
- Buglet (resolved): Caravanserai speed bonus
- Under certain circumstances (such as returning from interrupted
resource harvesting orders) caravans belonging to a town with the Caravanserai technology were not having their speed bonus correctly applied.
This has now been resolved.
- Buglet (resolved): Commanders Narrowly Escaping a Killing Blow
- Under certain circumstances, players with the Defy Death
skill trained on their commanders were regularly receiving reports that
their commander had had a lucky escape from death, where no real threat
existed during combat.
This has now been resolved.
