I don't think such requirement makes a lot of difference. Since elves started on wood tiles, they automatically fulfill that requirement. Also, dwarves start on hill tiles (strange IMO, but that's the way it is for now) and I don't think mountain passes are ideal for wagons. They even penalise cavalry, which has smaller footprints.
I think all Uber Units should only be buildable in capital. However, it should be able to be stationed anywhere on the World Map as long as the owners want it, unlike military units that must return home after a preset amount of time is over.

hey if stormcrow or any how the other GM's are still reading this post. Would the "ent" be requred to be in a forest to be summoned, and the "wagon" need to be forged in some form of mountain? I think that'd be really cool. Humans and orcs should be able to be anywhere although maybe not forests for orcs :)

I agree about balance. The list is just an illustration. The requirements are not set in stone. It's up the developers to implement and players to test.
The Ent requires less resources, but it has more passive role because of its relatively weaker attributes and slower speed. Probably it should be maintained with a certain amount of mana, too.
The Colossus is more like a mobile forward command center. It's good at holding the front (boost weapons and armours production) and making a push (decent attack and speed).
And the Battle Wagon, well it's the best of them all, but the requirements are a lot higher and it can't heal itself. If we had 'coal', I would have included that as an upkeep to represent its need for fuel, turning it into steam-powered instead of horse-drawn. What's the closest thing to fuel among the basic resources?

The dwarf unit should just be invincible. In fact all dwarf units should be invincible.

Dwarves: Battle wagon (was thinking of Golem, but dwarves are tech-oriented instead of magic) - Requres a lot of horses, research points, and iron - No health regen (repaired using resources) - High hit point - High defense - High attack - Fast speed

I'm thinking you are a dwarf.. High everything? :P elf unber unit only uses wood and mana? thats kinda cheap compaired to humans wich will use alot of chainmails as I read it now. Needs some double checking on the resources to balance the costs for each race but its a nice list ;-) I like the idea alot !~ :)

W00t? Should I be proud because the developers have similar idea in mind? Or should I be sad because someone else already came up with this idea before I did? Anyway, I'm looking forward to casting these summoning spells, GM Stormcow!

Not entirely dissimilar to some of the higher level "Summoning" spells planned. Nice job Aelfric.
