I neither believe the integrity of training alliances is
threatened as such. The agreement additionally states that training alliances
may not help with resource shipments or whatever other form of assistance. I believe
this might avoid unclarities.

There is no real threat to training alliances, you are correct Darmon the political fallout of attacking a training alliance would be as disastrous as losing a war, which no doubt would be on the horizon once you attacked the training alliance. |
I feel like people should be able to find a more tasteful way of leaving the arena. I mean, rumor has it a third of the population is gearing up for a real war. Why wouldn't people looking for a mandatory exit just throw in on one side of that (the side they expect to lose, I guess, if they really want to be razed)? Besides, people that attack newbs probably like smack-talk too, and the war seems to be dredging up a whole lotta that...

Is this a productive line of thought? I guess I can understand LadyLuv's and others' concerns, depending on the seriousness of the threats or rumors or whatever. I'm just not sure of their origin or validity. I mean, to take them seriously, they must have come from someone with the arsenal to back up this sort of talk (and a history of similar, I guess). People around here seem very hesitant to give specifics, even when such details are important.
I've only been here for about two months and I already realize that attacking training alliances (at least at this point in time) is something akin to political suicide. As mentioned, even with the war ongoing, there are still plenty of people not involved who wouldn't want this sort of precedent to be set. |

I can speak for T-O and agree with Rasak. We will defend if necessary any training alliance that is attacked without cause.

As mentioned, even with the war ongoing, there are still plenty of people not involved who wouldn't want this sort of precedent to be set. So unless it was one of the other large power blocs that made the suggestion (and that's rather doubtful), would anyone really be able to follow-through on a meaningful level?
It seems to me that someone is up to some baseless fear mongering at the expense of training alliances, and I bet they're just giddy that you seem to have taken the bait. I wonder how much darker and greater the shadow cast by this war on everyone can become if there are already legitimate concerns that the strong might start cannibalizing the weak? I guess only time will tell.

Best idea, thread and post so far in this war!
With training alliances protected from each side in this war, it is a powerfull Coalition.
As long as the members uphold those principles above, noone right in his mind would want nor dare to attack this coalition.
