Distance forumula: SQRT((y2-y1)^2+(x2-x1)^2). HM is correct, the movement number is how many squares per hour it covers.

Also, caravans (currently, without upgrades) move at a rate of "20."  I believe the units are squares per hour.

Trade offers are sorted by distance.  In the top right corner of every offer is also the text:
Quote W items require X caravans and are Y.Z squares away.

Is there a way to know the distance of the people we are dealing with?

Only after having accepted a trade do we find out that our caravans are gone for more than 10 hours. And seems like there's no way to call them back.

The name of the trader and the city appears but they are unclickable. Just a click that would point on the map would do it and tell us the distance would do it.

It would permit us to contact the trader as well, which can be useful.
