Those of us listed in the Herald's "most capture attempts" column can reduce their score checks to daily. And others like me checking their known to be bogus and reset soon score more frequently should seriously try to get in some of these more relevant lists.

There isn't really much of a statement or "ruling" that I can make at this time. Nothing has changed recently about the trade (or any) ranking system. We are aware that the trade score system is imperfect, as has been noted by the dev team in the past. It will all reset when the new trade system comes into the game. (No, I can't say when that will be.)

"We are aware that the trade score system is imperfect, as has been noted by the dev team in the past."| 1 | twilights [DARK] | Dark Empire [DARK] | 93,027,949,024 |
| 2 | darkkisser [TNH] | The Night Hunters [TNH] | 91,226,186,218 |
No prizes for guessing who the alt of twilights is. To put it into context... the next highest trade rank is almost 1/10th of these two accounts. As innoble I think pointed out: The effect of this is to make everyone else in the game's trade scores completely meaningless in terms of it's contribution to their overall score. Is it right that one player with an alt, a gold stack, and WAY too much time on their hands can render every other player in the game's trade scores meaningless? Tbh calling the trade system 'imperfect' is a bit of an understatement.

Creature, if I used the phrase GM SC has used to describe it I'd be breaking my own forum rules. ;)

Nope, sorry. It would serve to only confuse and frustrate everyone if we told you what we were doing all the time. Priorities change quickly and often and we need to stay flexible without freaking out the community in the process. :)

Nice idea Rorgash. I want to know what SC had for breakfast... and what color socks TC is wearing. (I suspect chainmail colored ones... to reduce risk of rematch between teacup/spider tag-team and foot) @Luna: yep I seem to remember SC mentioning something like that quite a while ago. Probably self-censored. ^^ I always took the view that I'd rather see new content than a rankings overhaul anyways so I'm not too fussed about the whole thing. Was slightly surprised about how extreme the trade thing in particular has gotten since I don't check these things very often though I guess there is always someone who will take things to another level.
