I would like that leave a suggestion..

Currently, it's very hard to actually farm the furs/hides dropped on a large kill. It has been mentioned in GC that harvesting time is too big, that cotters/skinners should be able to carry more items with them, etc.
Well, besides those approaches, can i suggest that the cotters/skinners from the same player (but different towns) don't bump each other off?
So, we would have a lot of different solutions to solve the issue. We could either:
a) increase the number of cotters held by a single cottage (ie: upgrade cottage to lvl 20) (less time to gather the hides = more time to try to gather the furs)
b) decrease the time it takes to actually harvest hides/furs
c) make cotters/skinners carry more goods
d) enable equipping them (with a horse, to move faster, or carry more goods)
e) cotters/skinners of same player, but different cities don't bump each other off

good suggestion...i would even go further and suggest we get rid of cotters completely  and just have the armies that do the killing bring back everything. anyone else find the gathering of items in v2 boring and too time consuming for a game that is suppose to be fun?

No...make a game easy and it becomes doubly boring.  I like the harvesting components of this game.  It added a dimension to it.  I do like your ideas Tyrande and agree that harvesters from the same empire should not bump each other but work in tandem.

I dont like the idea of multiple cities of same owner occupying the same spot and harvesting for individual cities.. It would get crowded, they would fight over the pieces.. etc etc

However it would be nice for a boost somehow.. say:

A tier of research that decreases Cotters gathering times.. Much like the ones we currently have for caravans (Improved loading, Loading platform etc).  
 Could be a long the lines of "Basic tools +10% speed" " Wheelbarrows +5% carry capacity" Advanced tools "Further 10% gather speed"

i like scorpiain idea.
if this changes can't be done can i sugest that the same city doesn't bump? meaning i would kill some rats and harvest the anatomies+hides at the same time (as long as from the same city)
as for difrent city's i guess it would take a important tool of the game that is the ability to bump our own units

I still say let us add harvesters to armies.

Add a new 'harvest' option to the army and it occupies till the harvesters are done then walks back wit them

Well, if u want to stop the harvesting process, u can always send a messenger..
As for the rest, if the changes came by means of new research avaiable, that would be fine by me..
as long as something changed. ^^

I'd love to be able to send skinners from 2 towns and not have them bump. If i hit a legion that is further than 10 tiles from my city I'll hardly ever manage to harvest everything which is annoying. 

If they don't want to make it faster collecting i'd be happy as it currently is if they added something to keep the hides/parts there for however long it is now if the army leaves but if the square is occupied increase the time so you have more time to harvest.

For a pessimist i'm pretty optimistic
