Hello Everyone,
By now, you are probably well familiar with the antics and exploits of the notorious ICON. You are probably also familiar with the considerable might of your overlords, the top dogs of the server Harmless?. Some of you, may have had the misfortune of being on the receiving end of the iron fist of these tyrants as they trample underfoot the weak on their way to server domination. If you have EVER favored the underdog, or simply have a grudge against H?, then I request you consider the following, as we ICON, the champion of the people seeks to undermine the totalitarian state being imposed upon the server by the all powerful masters of your Illy fate: ICON moved South to avoid two alliances that declared war on us. RES and CHAMPS. Little did we realise, that contrary to what we have all been told in GC, there are territories that are claimed and enforced by several alliances. We setup shop in Tallimar, which is close to many alliances, some that we count as friends. Unfortunately, it is also home to H?, an alliance that values it's considerable control on this server. So, like the Mal Motshans before them, they seek to drive us from "their" lands and bully us into doing their will! We at ICON have decided to stand our ground in the face of this aggression and ask you, the once free citizens of this server to support our cause! Any and all basic resources, advanced resources and gold you can spare would greatly contribute to ICON sticking it to the big guy and hopefully resisting the mighty H? and showing them, that the people of Illyriad are not their subjects, but their neighbors and should be treated as such! In the immortal words of The Dude (Not Theunderscoredude) "This will not stand, ya know, this aggression will not stand, man. " Please consider supporting our efforts with your donations to the cities below! I will gladly purchase prestige to support Illyriad and ensure your resources do not go to waste! I applaud the underdog for never giving up and sticking to their beliefs no matter how many nay sayers there are.
Just because one opinion dominates a forum or a game does not make it right. Many of these band wagon players if faced with the same odds I am sure would have given up by now. A heart of a champion. |

This is a free land we live in. If someone wants to mark territory as "theirs" they are welcome to do that using sovereignty.
If they do not claim sovereignty over the land, it is open for settlement, or for someone else to claim sovereignty over it. This is not merely guidelines, it is the war the world works. Being a free land, Lords and alliances are welcome to engage in war to remove cities that they do not like, for one reason or another. However, this is a form of tyranny, and there could be consequences for such tyranny. If H? wishes to remove towns that they previously had no claim over, they are setting themselves up to be tyrants. If they truly want to "reserve" land, it should be done officially with sovereignty. Any turf war dispute not involving canceling sovereignty on a square becomes bullying. Except in the case of smaller towns who have not the resources nor the research to claim sovereignty on so many squares. StJude seems to have a righteous cause, and I would not be surprised if many like minded righteous and justice seeking Lords come to his aid.
