Other then the kicking a man when he's down part it sounds great. I'd guess that most of us were commenting on it because we're bored and it required the least effort to criticize. Good luck in the growth of your alliance.

Listen, instead of picking apart one small part of what I said why don't you guys help me. Help me improve on the entire thing I've said. I understand my fault with the war part. But what about the rest of what I said?

Ahem...most real military strategists through the ages would have a radically different concept of war than you're suggesting. Good generals tasked with war prefer to win wars before they ever launch troops, and the actual battles are just cleanup (if possible). The kings who task those generals with war are also only interested in winning...and profit.
The only way to remain honorable in war is to let your enemies choose themselves by their actions alone, and not by their size or the opportunities they represent, economic or otherwise.

So you only enter war if there's no chance of the other side winning? That's just kicking a man when he's down. That's not real warfare, if you want I can teach them real warfare.

I'm not saying they won't be attacked. Most probably they will. I'm just saying there won't be a chance for the alliance we are at war with to win. As such they won't have to worry about their safety once the war is over.
Some are sure to be attacked once they enter the war. The alliance we are fighting will retaliate, if they werent able to retaliate it wouldnt be a war anymore. Like I said there just won't be a chance that they will have their cities attacked, seiged and taken over once the war is over.
They will experience a real warfare, just not as intense.

That's not good military experience AT ALL if the war has no risks for your newer members, all it'll teach them is how to attack. To teach them about war however you'll have to teach them about all, or at least most, of it's aspects - which includes being attacked.
How dastardly and pathetic.

Well I would generally prefer to stay out of wars no matter the circumstance. But you must know as well as I do that some players are always wanting war. And because I wish to let all my players grow to develop their own game playing style. This would be a good way to satisfy their needs while at the same time protecting the rest of the alliance.
It would also be a good way for my alliance to gain war experience, because they can chose to come and leave when they want, they might end up in an alliance in war. So I would like them to have at least a basic idea of war fare in this game. Because sending out men agaisnt wildlife is not the same as fighting real people.

So, you'll stay out of wars on less you can benefit from it without the
other side having a chance of fighting back? Especially since experience
can be gained on wildlife, seems a bit of an odd stance for a peace
loving alliance.
Sound like a bunch of buzzards...
