 Wouldn,t it be better if you could order your adv thiefs what to steal instead of them traveling for hours and just getting random resourses?

No, unless if you choose them to get X resource and they have none of it, they don't bother stealing other stuff and come home empty handed.

build enough thieves to take all they have then you wont need to pick and choose

T2 thieves don't come cheap. I'm in support of this idea, having advanced thieves targeting specific resources makes more sense, as well as slightly more realistic game-play.

I would be ok if they just had a higher percentage of stealing gold and advanced resources.  It does seem a waste to invest in adv. thieves and have them come back with basic resources all the time.
