You may be missing my point, Quackers, and possibly even illustrating it. :) Your point would be valid if Twilights and Alagos were the only two players in the game, but there are many others who score points.
What I said is that it's possible that personal rankings are updated comparing to other players' rankings being frozen to them at that time, until they get synchronized against all other's players personal achievements.
While Global Rankings could show the actual 'live' score, because that is only one database table being updated. While keeping all personal players' scores keeping updated all the time generates a lot of unnecessary data traffic, which would possibly and probably gameplay speed. :) If I were one of the devs, I'd do it that way. Because data transfer costs money and takes bandwidth.
My question is, which are 'live' scores. That doesn't have to be necessarily to be the lowest one on screen ;)

Hmm, is it certain yet which score is the actual one, and which score gets updated only once in a set period?
Because there is a difference between what personal pages show, and what Global rankings show.
Working in IT, and having some experience with development, databases and and performance, my guess would be that Global Rankings show the actual standings, while Personal Rankings show a position set againt others 'frozen' positions until the next update.
That would take less database update traffic.
I hope this makes sense ;)

Infact I have another bet for someone. I'm offering a city (Kudla) up for siege for any other city in the Western Realms. Any takers?
