I did not send an army to surround the tentacles this time, mostly because i've given up, lets see what happens. I had 4 tentacles.

Epidemic, thanks for doing the experiment. I have not quite given up yet, but I was tempted to do what you are doing as well to see what happens. I am certainly very low on ideas.
Soon Audrey will wake up and many more will be part of the never-ending quest. If any of those are reading, I suggest someone tries surrounding the town completely during the first new moon and first full moon after audrey sleeps. Perhaps there is a way to make the annoying tentacles not escape to begin with, or at least not spread to even a single square. |

73 corrupted squares 9 audrey squares The last time I think we weren't sure if we needed 3x additional squares worth of troops to get the heart beating, or maybe it was 74 squares. For sure once the limit is reached, the heart starts at the next midnight. The tentacle drop rate is around 5% to 6% from memory. Diplomatic missions based on single unit scouts or messengers to any of the 3 temples.

situation doesn't seem to have changed in Nesse's Ivory Hall…
9 tentacles around as from previous month… no occupying armies but the city has been taken over in the meantime, so this could be a new factor let's try and activate Audrey once more! |

I just did one more test since Audrey awakens soon. I got a new set of tentacles and sent a messenger to Duraz Karag to see if I could reset the mystery in the same town. But I just got the generic non-mystery message. |

Well, the longest quest on Illy continues. Nothing is happening with this full moon. No new tentacles. It is not even worth fencing them in as they seem to have stopped growing. Have tried fertilizing them with various anatomies and herbs with no luck. Still cannot attack, diplo, or feed them.
We are left with many questions. Particularly surrounding Nesse/Odds who led much of this quest. With both cities now in the hands of the human, if the quest is ever solved do the towns get the discovery? If so, which race will it be? The original or the new owner. So, within the next few days, the Odds city will go back to ownership of a Elf and the Nesse town to a dwarf. Just to make things more interesting, the Boromir city that is surrounded by tentacles will also go to a dwarf. Now if that does not confuse the old hag in deciding which discovery to award, I don't know what else to do. Walkyr has one city that is undergoing the quest and another that has received the message for the next time Audrey awakes. Thanks to all who post their experiences. Perhaps someone will come up with the missing piece of the puzzle.
