I agree.

Since being outed as a malicious liar; I've chosen to change my ways and join the truth brethren in their crusade against evil spin and misrepresentations of the oh-so-holy doctrine of truthfulness. I was one of the many, at the weekly Elgean anti-H? convention; who were blinded to the holy gospel after witnessing Rill's incessant campaigning against the H?oliness.

As his h?oliness reverend KP (a.k.a. poodle-ishous) famously uttered in firm rejection of H?'s evil and pagan ways...

Yes, KillerPoodle, I believe that Harmless? is an evil plant fostered by the Melders in southern Elgea that eats troops.

Or maybe I was just referring to the fact that Harmless? has powerful armies in Southern Elgea that eat troops.

I honestly do think there is some fundamental attribution error going on in the way you have understood that comment.  What I was intending to do was obliquely compliment the military power of Harmless? by comparing you to a feature in Illy that consumes troops.  I also was intending to make light of perceptions that I was anti-Harmless? in some way.

However, because you believed that I was in fact prejudiced against you, you over-read my joke as meaning that I believed you were evil.  I am very sorry that you drew this conclusion.

Again, I intended my comment both as a plaudit to H?'s military strength and a gently poking fun at the idea I might suggest that you were somehow "evil."  I do regret that my humor was misconstrued.  As Angrim has said, perhaps in the atmosphere that then existed, this was inevitable, but I hope we can turn over a new page.

I DO disagree with some things that Harmless? has done in the past, but I do NOT believe you are evil.  Just in case you or anyone is still worried about that.

I don't think this disclosure is necessary, but I want issue a fair warning to any of the alliances involved in the war. Sharing the Terms of Surrender in private or disclosing them to the larger public is a direct violation of multilateral agreements and may lead to repercussions. Unless of course, the alliances involved agree to the disclosure of terms.

I've said before that I personally don't object to disclosure, though I cannot speak for anyone but myself. In fact my blessing no longer matters, as the alliance which I led during the war no longer exists. However, I still have access to the leaders of the GA alliances and would be happy to lobby for their approval, provided the Coalition agrees to the release of terms from previous wars.

I would much prefer the terms can be disclosed in a new thread.

Let me clear something up, especially because talking about rules can be a bit... cloudy. I do not intend it that way at all, especially about a topic like sharing private information.

If the alliances in this thread want to share something that was alliance-wide and shared with others, like a Terms of Surrender, go for it. I'm like anyone else and enjoy these type of discussions.

But, you still cannot share "Here's a copy/paste of an IGM, see where he calls me a jerk?!" -- that will lead to nothing but ruin. Understand that if someone takes this a chance to name-call or wreck the thread, I will delete their posts. Most of the posters in this thread are just wanting to see how it all played out.

If anyone has an issue with anything that gets posted, let me know and I will review it. Keep it civil.

And someone write all of this down and press it into fine leather for me? Thanks. I can't possibly read ALL of this every day. ha

I think the issue is that we (H?) try to say as closely as possible exactly what we mean and specifically no more and no less. It seems to me that others treat conversation differently. Example: In conversations with Halcyon about NC/Bane I said (exact quote):

"If you guys decide to join then that will be a definite escalation and I foresee a chain reaction which ends up pulling most of the top 20 alliances including eventually H?"

This was interpreted as "H? will defend NC no matter what they do"

Things would be a whole lot simpler if folk would just ask us instead of re-interpreting our words based on their own subjective idea about what we *must* be thinking:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fundamental_attribution_error

On the flip side - when Rill says in GC that H? are evil and the new heart of corruption is our capital city then we'll take those words as a face value read on what Rill really thinks of us.

Now some folk might think that this is just because Tamaeon is a little simple in the head, but I prefer to give him the benefit of the doubt (this time) and contend that he's merely been brain washed to think we're bad and we do bad things...
i'll make the offhand, possibly inflammatory observation that by the time i became really involved, both vCrow and H? had formed very elaborate constructs based on assumptions about one another's motives. (in a few cases i knew those assumptions to be unwarranted, in many i believed them to be but may have been mistaken.) regardless, every communication was filtered through that web of suspicion and mistrust, with the result that any communication between them was simply used to flesh out the strawman. this is not as uncommon in illy as i'd like, but in this case the consequences were catastrophic.

After the court diplomats and scholars had finally finished dissecting the oft-heated public correspondence surrounding the Dwarf Lord Orin's attempt to compile an accurate account of the Great War, (generally to pantomime choruses of laughter, booing and clapping from the assembled court) Chief Shûl-nak stood to deliver his ultimate verdict over the tangled tapestry of history laid before him:

Wacko

Seconds passed.

"Is there.. is there something wrong with the chief's eyes?" whispered a visiting human to his guide.

"Ah," responded the wise-orc tasked with preventing the (early) consumption of guests, "this what happen when you try commune with the Always-Chief of histories. Eyes go crazy when try to follow the Truth. No easy test..."
