I think it is a great idea. Perhaps too cerebral for Gemley, but I hope you continue it. Now if only my chess game wasn't so rusty, I might join in...

OK. You don't like the idea of correspondence Chess. Thank you for sharing. That was very helpful. Your lack of interest does not surprise me, correspondence chess isnt for everyone. Even the ICCF only has about 100k members. Since I'm the thread starter I'll go ahead and let this thread die now if it wants to. If anyone is interested in a game IGM me your opening move.

Notation is generally a capital letter for the piece that moved(K=king, Q=queen, B=bishop, N=knight, R=rook, no letter for a pawn) and the coordinates of the space it moved to. You only have to make a note of where it came from(Example: Nce4) if two of the same piece could have taken on that square. Also, if a piece is taking on the space it moves to, you put an x between the piece and the square(So Nce4 would be Ncxe4 if an enemy piece were there).

You're P = PirateKing playing in the black team. You can pick e5, e6, c5, or something bizarre after white's e4. I'm somewhat lost with the notation, used to e2-e4, e7-e5 (example).
