If we are looking for things T2 messengers could do that don't mess up game balance, I can think of a few useful things. Being able to withdraw only part of what is on a square would be handy. e.g. messenger go withdraw the troops but not the skinners or vice versa. Or withdraw only one of those 3 armies.
Obviously withdrawing an army (or cotter or diplomat for that matter) while it is traveling would be super handy as well but would require pathfinding as previously mentioned. |

i have the impression from prior GM Stormcrow conversations that interception of units in motion will require pathfinding.
it would be convenient if a GM would pop in and let us know if i'm only spreading rumour. could be all good in this case, though, since the messenger would, by definition, be moving along the same path as the army. in this case, the messenger can intercept the army based on their relative times to completion rather than based on any particular position on the map.
