"As I have understood range is the distance that the spell is going with the current mana spending."

I have not added Mana to a geomancy with a 10 basic range, but it is in place at over 30 range.

What is the difference between Range and Maximum Range?

oh, so range is only a basic value and maximum range is what counts? Then I guess it is safe to say that squares is the unit of measure.
