Aye!  It be sad indeed.  PirateQueen was a brave lassie.  Though she be short lived here in Illyriad, her memory will carry on.  Her port town was destroyed last nights an PirateWench will soons be given a proper burial of her own.  Me ships flags be at half mast in their honor.

As I be sitting on the dock of me port town, with tha evening light fadin’ below the horizon, I glance up ta tha sky and there I sees the first star o’ tha evenin’.  An’ I be noticin’ that some stars be shinin’ brighter than others.  These bright stars be tha ones which stand out from among all the rest, an’ ‘tis these stars that guide ships safely ta their destinations. 

*drops pirate speak*

This alliance is a failed attempt.  I regret waiting so long for a dream which never came true.  I wish I could have been more active in the game, but I have a real life as well.  I am thoroughly disgusted with the recent attempt to take over my island in the far west, and it saddens me that few even cared.  I know I am not leadership material.  I am coming to realize that more and more.  Part of me wishes I had just kept my first account and never set out attempt a naval training alliance, but what's done is done. 

I am closing down the South Seas Pirates.  I will be joining the [STEEL] alliance and these islands that I have (Including the far west island which still has a town from the take-over attempt on it) will become territory for the [STEEL] alliance. 

I am staying in the game for now, but I am stepping down from leadership.  It has become too much, and I feel this is not one of my strengths.

Aaarrrr!  A bright star is only tha brightest so longs as there be no other stars nearby.  Fer tha brightness of one can be makin’ all the rest look dim, an’ it be no use sailin’ the seas by anythin’ but tha brightest stars.

As I sat there, marvelin’ at tha scene before me, I be hearin’ me ol’ wench callin’ from inside tha tavern.  I reckon a change o’ scenery will do me good.

I'm sorry to hear this.  SSP sounded like a fun alliance to be in, and I would have thought it be more popular than ever with coastal food and water sov.  I do hope you stick around in the game whether it be as a pirate or a landlubber.
