   This thread is reserved for diplomacy concerning the 
South Seas Pirates [~SSP~] alliance.

Founding:
The alliance's founding date was April 13, 2011.  As some of you know, the South Seas Pirates were founded shortly after hints were made by the DEV's concerning the possibility of future sea vessels and ports.  I, PirateKing, abandoned my previous account and established this one as well as PirateLord.  I am one in the same, and have made no claim otherwise.  This is the story of the South Seas Pirates:

History:
Four islands were settled upon at the creation of this alliance.  Recently, a fifth island (which is much larger and is shared) has been settled so the [~SSP~] have a growing presence in the west.  The idea was to hold these four islands for the growth of a friendly naval alliance.  Many attempts at recruiting failed and players who joined went inactive because ships were set to be released "soon™" and this has not yet happened.  So for now recruiting has been postponed until after the release of ships or confirmation that the ship project has been scrapped.

Land Claims:
The South Seas Pirates currently holds four tiny islands.  Though our alliance is small, we will continue to settle these locations.  

South Center: [-357|-951]         East: [617|-802]                         

Both islands were settled on April 10, 2011    

Far East: [897|-798]                 Center: [-343|-627]
Both islands were settled on May 24, 2011    

West (shared island): [-908|-646]              (World Map)
Settled on February 12, 2012                       

If anyone feels entitled to these locations, please contest my claim and state your reasons below.

Goal:
This alliance was not set up to be a military force in the south; rather, players are encouraged to engage in friendly combat and play as this game was intended.  The concept of a just war is to have military solely for defense and attack only when attacked.  I would encourage this of all my members.

Future:
With the release of sea vessels, the South Seas Pirates hope to expand the alliance within the above mentioned (already claimed) islands.

Members:
Membership is currently low due to the fact that there are no ships released.  I have recently gotten my sister to play, and she will be joining the seas soon.

Ranking:
(May be revised in the future) The current hierarchy is set up as follows:
Captain (founders)
Quartermaster (6+ cities)
Sailor (4 cities)
Cabin Boy (2 cities)
Swabbie (only 1 city)
In the Brig (players under censure)

If you wish to settle on one of the islands:
Please maintain proper courtesy and make contact with the alliance before-hand so some basic guidelines can be established.  I would ask that you either join the alliance or that your alliance confederates with ours.  Furthermore, as our alliance page states, please place ~SSP~ before your cities name upon settling on a [~SSP~] island.
