I would say, one of the lessons here is utilizing the meta-game of running one's mouth doesn't seem to net many allies. It really only servers to increase the level of risk involved for those that do. |
You clearly have no clue on how the meta game is played, you'd be surprised with the amount of IGMs I have from players supporting us.
The key is not to...mumble mumble mumble.

Ok so as far as I see, this is a game of egos and agendas. make sure your mouth can be backed up with your sword and there should be no problem. This is not hello Kitty, This is "There can be only one" Anybody wanna play monopoly, I got hotels on park place and a seedy dive on Madison avenue. Either way you gotta pay to play. nuf sed~Amroth~ |
You smashing our siege on Johnny contradicts this statement somewhat. Regardless, I wholeheartedly agree. As I have repeated before, I was drawn to this game by the level of risk involved and the complex metagame. Too many people sign up for this game expecting a fantasy farmville.

I think the research done is the biggest issue, if there was a way to keep the research done it would still be a big deal to get sieged, but not as extreme as present mechanics. Give the sieged player the option to rebuild his city, but with all the research already done intact.
