The real change that I would like to see with seige weapons, is anti seige weapons Man trap gate towers and tower mounted ballisters for example.

no, wasn't around when those medieval battles happened :P
kind of hard to imagine it all.. dudes corking siege weapons from behind the lines and firing it at random angles, having rocks landed on enemy troops.. And the horrors your trebuchets can do when your camp is being attacked by raiding cavalry.. :P

you have never seen a medieval battle im guessing... kinda hard stepping aside something when on a battle field or in a town, also siege weapons are kept behind the troop lines usually with support troops to defend them against any scattered troops getting past

towers don't step aside :P
also they don't come beside and chop your head either, while you are busy corking your siege weapon :P

you can aim them to hit towers, you can aim them to hit 2000-100,000 troops :P

I believe siege weapons like trebuchets did little or no damage to troops in an open battle. The kind of siege weapons that were developed to target enemy units (scorpions and ballista) were ineffective against buildings.
