Siege Breaking Defence or Offence?

I haven't been involved in any of the Illy wars (so far), but if Player C is in the same alliance as Player B and breaks Player A's siege, it seems clear that it's a defensive action. If Player C is in a different alliance than Player B it may be a bit less clear-cut. But breaking a siege definitely leans towards a defensive action rather than an aggressive one. After all, Player A started it and I'm telling Mom .

	This is a bit of an issue when times are sticky, can we discuss( your best manners please) whether you think is should be seen as an agggressive act or not. We can go a long towards understanding a given situation with a majority acceptance of one way or another. So scenario Player A is sieging player B, Player C is in the same alliance or confederate and breaks the siege. Is player C guilty of aggression or is this just a likely defensive action? Would love to know your thoughts! (no,really i do!)
