Exodusing off it should cause it to revert.  Razing it often will not.  If you Exodus off it and it does not revert, then file a petition, the devs will take care of it.  However, I haven't seen a situation where Exoing off a square fails to revert it.

rill, i have seen posts about exoing causing a reversion but never seen it, here is a link to a forum post from GM SC http://forum.illyriad.co.uk/exodus-alters-underlying-terrain_topic4840_page2.html?KW=exo.  this post was before BL opened up so i am pretty sure the BL terrains have the same "underlying" and "original" terrain types since BL came out after the terrain software updates.  with both of those types being the same i do not think any BL terrains will ever revert(could be wrong, i am not a programer).

also i have a list of coords in BL of squares T-SC has done terraforms on and are still terraformed after the player exoed off that square(usually due to switching alliances and moving all their cities to their new alliance's hub).  i will not be handing out that list of coords to anyone because STORM has taken over for T-SC and we are moving some of our new players into those spots now(saves on terraforms since the spots are already ready for settlement).  and personally based on this info i think a petition would be useless because the game is operating as intended.  if you want to change a plot mix on a square you need to do a terraform, if you want to change the plot mix of a square that is already terraformed, you need to reterraform it.

I did not notice the 'anomaly' until after Candy settled the town. She asked me about it and I did some digging of my own, and learned it was likely what you all said. A tenaril by a new player. I did not think to ask anyone about the spot largely because its not in a land claim anymore. We determined that Candy will stay there and all is settled. Thanks for all the help.

Fiona.

It should revert from the current terrain type, (whether or not the original and underlying are the same should not make a difference, what matters is after a terraform the current is different from either) as GM SC described.  There's no reason the Broken Lands should be different in this regard.  I suggest filing a petition -- it's possible something has gone wonky in the code or they forgot to include Broken Lands in the cleanup file.

If squares that are terraformed never revert in Broken Lands, this might introduce a new concept in warfare -- reverse terraforming.  If you don't like someone who has a land claim, simply terraform their claim with a bunch of 1-food squares.  Would bring new meaning to the 10-square requirement for Tenaril.
