i see no reason why you can't dump resources - they could stay there for 7 days like everything else.

It seems better to err on the side of caution here. When people send resources to other cities, it would be quite painful to have all resources lost because you accidentally sent next to the city instead.

This is actually possible, just not in an easy or user-friendly way, probably because nobody thought there was any reason to want to do it :P

When I first started playing, I wondered about this -- haven't thought again about it until now.
Is there a good reason why resources cannot be dumped on a tile? i.e. by allowing "Send Resources" on any passable tile.
