maybe you're right, scott and kumo. but really, making the books and then converting them into the research would probably take longer. it would just rearrange where and when the research took place.

I completely agree, SF. The most limiting factor in a town's growth is the time it takes to research. You can't prestige rush it. It just takes a certain amount of time. If you had the above, that would go away and you'd have "instabuild" cities... Probably not a good idea.

I think that would be very game unbalancing! A well established player could, with prestige, max out a new town in a matter of days instead of the weeks or months it would take now.

I wish that I could convert research I've already done into books then ship the books and research to another town.
For example, Siege Construction costs 1200 research points and 6h 30m. If I could convert Siege Construction research into a 60 volume Encyclopedia of Siege Construction then ship it to another town where it would instantly turn into finished research, I'd like that!
