I agree with Meagh. This is the politics and diplomacy forum ... and this seems to involve both politics and diplomacy. Perhaps the discussion of what belongs in this part of the forum should be moved to a different thread, however.

i would disagree... a war declaration is a change in diplomacy... why wouldn't one post it in the politics and diplomacy forum? Even if it's only an attempt to sway public opinion in their favor it is still reasonable; it's generally not wise to ignore public opinion in any conflict. - M.

I semi agree/ dissagree. My only problem is when it gets turned into a billion page thread full of non-sense and some half trollish post, If it was kept to battle reports, progress on the war, and peace/surrender terms it would be fine. Then it would be a decent thread to view.

Are you referring to the end tie that led to peace between Havoc and Kt or some other struggle before hand?

I'm refering to the fact that at one point an alliance attacked KT with PoL's and KT thought it was us, and retaliated with PoL's. The affected member of KT sent me a message asking why we had attacked them and admitted to attacking us in turn. We assured them that it was not us, and the culprit was found. We did not go to war over this because it was an honest mistake. That is what I meant by "we pursued peace". However, the recent acts are not accidents nor mistaken identity of other actions, and as such, we will not allow ourselves to be attacked without provocation, without there being consequences to those who have attacked us without warrant. *Editted for a typo*

What Johnny is referring to is the fact we were hit by diplos from driad while under a NAP with ICON (formerly KT). I spoke with their leadership to ensure this would be dealt with appropriately and the attacks ceased and was assured by Zork2010 that they would indeed stop and if any other attacks happened they would deal with it inside ICON allowing us no recourse for the blantant violation of the NAP.
I logged in today to find that some of our smallest members (with us only a few weeks) were hit with additional diplos. I will not stand by and see us made fools of by ICON. I will not let them deal with this in house since it is clear that they either condone the behavior or have a rogue member that refuses to listen to her leadership, i believe the latter to be the case as it was when driad was a member of HAVOC.
I have no complaint against any other member of ICON but I will not sit by and let driad ignore diplomacy.
