Seeing different personalities through such issues and finding solution is interesting and fun. It's also fun to see someone gets so upset about it :)

I keep map sov turned off, landscape looks more attractive.

Maybe so Granlik, but I make it a point not to do the things to others that I react strongly to. Which is to say, you won't ever find my harvesters on your sov, and if you did, I would expect them to be killed if caught.

I put the warning in my profile. I can't do much more to warn people off before it happens.

^^ This. So very much this.

A wise player once told me that if a resource wasn't valuable enough to guard, it wasn't valuable enough to complain about.

Another wise player once said " If you did not kill it do not harvest it" as well as "If your neighbors are nasty kill them or move". Wait that was me. Well all I can say is if the area you are in is prone to people ignoring your requests you must be in BL. Thats the nature of the game down South. Perhaps move back up north where people are more prone to being nice to neighbors.

Err, I must apologise Solanar, I misread your post. I thought you were supporting those who wander around and take resources.
I should stop listening to the radio, eating a sandwich, checking football results in the paper and flicking through the forums all at the same time.  My bad.

I have to say I agree with Dungshoveleaux and Brandmeister here. If you haven't harvested it and it replenishes, why bother to get worked up? If it is an issue, place an army on it.

Apart from that, I note many grape patches outside 10 squares of LL's cities are part of this sov. So we are not talking about next-door-sov here that is being violated; if a player hunts there and has her sov indication off, as one of my alliance members accidentally did, I do not really see the issue.

Now, everybody can claim all the grape patches in Illy as far as I'm concerned. But considering we are talking about BL here, I'm surprised some of these haven't been contested yet now that counterclaiming sov works. Apart from the one I know of where SIN did object to a claim.

(I also noted a HOTH player has settled next to one of these patches, outside of 10sq; good luck with negotiating that out in a reasonable way).

On a last note, demanding respect and then saying others' opinions do not matter will not get anybody much of that. Because respect goes both ways.

You should have been killing the harvesters to begin with, they shouldn't be on your land harvesting. You shouldn't have to apologize for you killing the harvesters either since they came onto your land. They come onto your land they suffer the consequences.

I don't kill and harvest npcs for over a year now. I totally agree with LL's post!. Go get them LL! show them your wrath.. :)

a former player mentioned once "If ain't blue, its not yours and don't dare park any troops/harvesters on it".

Didn't encounter this kind of issue in Tallimar, as players are committed to follow the sovereign rule.
