Just checked the code to make sure - it's a random order.

Is there any order to the resource chosen? It has seemed in the past that the first resource taken would be the resource of which I had the least at time of launch.

I can answer this one! The latter, X+Y take resource A, assuming Carrying Capacity of X+Y < amount of resource A, otherwise X+Y take all of resource A and some of resource B etc. Hope that helps.

Each division needs a commander. Commander gives bonusses. The resources you get are random.

I can't seem to understand why troops don't steal a balanced amount of resources. i see them bringing their max capacity of the same resource. why don't they distribute that capacity to all the resources like in travian? are they that lazy to walk to the forest and gather some wood or go in a mine to steal iron? also, if that resource is less than the troops maximum capacity, will they still from other resources?

It appears that if they can max on a single resource, that is what happens. It appears that the resources cycle through - each theft is another resource.
It appears that when a particular resources is less than max, other resources will be used to fill to max. I just had an army with some of each and in different quantities.
