Unless things changed since I last tested this, that statement is false.  So long as you have the prerequisite research and at least one level of the building that produces said unit, you can produce it.

No, you need to rebuild the building to that level before you can build more of that unit however the research has been done so you dont lose that.

Not sure, but I believe so.  The level is just the requirement to research the tech, not required to build the troops.

Ok, so... what happens, for example, if I have a lvl 15 consulate and I can build sabos and assassins with appropriate research... and then it gets demolished to say, lvl 10 consulate. 

Am I still able to produce sabos and assassins?
