lmao Truth, you are certainly entitled to your opinion but the facts bear out that you are incorrect. While you may want to believe that Valar was the victim, months of bad behavior and opinion of most of the major alliances tell a different story. Nice try but you only have to do a search on these forums for your answer.
We don't war with anyone that disagrees with us, that is fact. I'm done with this discussion, at least get your facts straight before your try to drag the good name of H? through the mud.
*waves farewell*

This game does mirror real life, however, I am going to take exception with your comment Truth. You don't see H? posting every issue we may have with an alliance or player in GC or on these forums, that does not mean we have not tried diplomatic resolution. If we declare war on a player or alliance you can bet we have considered all the ramifications not only for our members but our allies. H does not enter into war lightly and may I remind you that it's been well over a year since H declared war on anyone. So much for that argument, next?
| You can dismiss what I said all you want, but the argument still stands to be correct. The well over a year argument does not hide the fact that players in your alliance siege players over dislike and the fact you warred with Valar over dislike with their leadership. H? basically has the approach of hugging new players until they realize the player's opinion is different from their own. This player than joins the extermination list of H?'s siege engines. I do not feel like restating everything I said and making it more detailed to again make my point across to someone that has already made up their mind on the topic. So, it is pointless for me to even go on debating this with you Starry. So much for your argument, next?

Edit: So let me get this straight, you expect any alliance that wants to declare war to discuss the issue with the general Illyriad public before declaring?

Perhaps the community should give it's opinion on whether alliances should post a public notification of "Grounds for War" in the forum before making any declaration? Perhaps we can organise a seperate poll to see what the community would prefer?

I have been trying to have war justified in fine print to determine just cause to start a war. As of right now, players or alliances start a war over difference of opinion. So, basically, if you want to start a war, having a difference of opinion is reason enough to start a war on someone.
H? and their coalition members have determined that a difference of opinion is just cause to start a war. Simply, I do not like you, lets war with you...
It is really petty in my opinion that wars are started over such things. I feel this is more or less a grade school mind set. That hopefully mature adults would be able to have better reasons to start a war than over simply disliking the person.
Wars are started over personality clashes in this game. In real life, if you do not like someone, he or she may talk behind their back or just plain be rude to that person. In this game, as of right now, players not only do just that but also war with that player or alliance.
Illyriad: Petty reasons to start a war.
If a player does not like this, then go ahead and blame H? since they are responsible for shaping opinions of most of the alliances in this game.
However, if a player likes to war over petty reasons, enjoy! |
The uh,
War has always been started for petty reasons, in illy, in other mmos, in real life. When someone thumbs their nose at someone, someone else will take offense and start a war.
The uh, H? factor.. Win over the new generation of players then.. they will be the ones that replace the current populace in the long run, shape their minds to your thinking, its already happening with other alliances, but you can do it too..
| Like I said, wars are started in this game over petty reasons. So, not one player in this game needs a good reason to start a war. That is the state of the game. In real life, most wars are started over decent reasons. But I do agree that some wars are started over petty reasons as well. The only problem is if the same player that starts a war over a petty reason has the same thing happen to them. The tables are turned and thus they do not like it when things are reversed. To the H? comment. It will be hard for players to shape the communities opinion as long as H? is the top power alliance. Opinions are one sided at the moment because of H?. To say that anyone can go against H? and change everyone's opinion is a bit harder than you make it out to be.
