It is common knowledge, that racial T1 units are cheaper than they counterparts, by not having armor in their cost. That is Sentinels, Kobolds and Charioteers, none of them requires any armor.
For some reason dwarven racial T1 unit - Axemen, not only are not cheaper, they are more expensive than any other T1 infantry, by having additional cost of beer. I am curious, if there are any reasons behind it (Axemen are not much stronger than any other racial T1 is from their counterparts, so can't really think of any). I propose to remove the cost of chainmail and finally stop punishment of dwarf for existence itself. Dwarves of the realm, please up this post

Us dwarves are metal already, or is that more stoner rock nowadays? :p Lord Jholly proposes to make it 1 plate for t1 units, 2 plates for t2 units so no chain for any dwarf infantry, plate metal all the way

But why? Axes already have most expensive weapon out of racial T1s, that's enough.
Racial T1s don't use armor, plate is still an armor. No armor, simple and fair change.

That makes more sense given what the other races have, indeed. I support your idea. How about the additional suggestion for t2 units?

chain goes under plate, 2 plate 0 chain doesnt make much sense. i think they are strong as it is.

Axemen are greatly underrated but it's indeed notable that they are the most expensive upfront light infantry!
I notice Orc Guardsmen are more expensive than other heavy spears

i agree they are already strong enafe... also the mater is not about t1 of one race vs t1 of other race , infarny need chain for all races... the devs to give an extra advantage to the drawf at the cost of their units make the T2 drawf spear NOT need leather which make it by far the cheaper from the weapons cost prespective ....

Tough. That's how it goes. You dwarves have stals, one of the most fearsome units in Illy. You get really good sh*t and have to deal with some crappy sh*t. Welcome to Illy!
