It certainly deserves its own thread. The harvest form is a royal PIT
bull (on a Sony forum a moderator fixed what I wrote to
pain, so here I make sure that it isn't too easy). For diplos, troops, settlers, relocation, and non-empty vans it is clear where they start, and where they intend to go to -- a mini map shows the destination with adjacent squares.
For diplos and troops it's also clear how many are going, and when they'll arrive. If you got it wrong you can recall the mission. It's less obvious how many vans are needed to carry a mix of goods, but IMO it is good enough, and I don't miss a recall option in this case. But for empty harvesting vans nothing is clear:
- It is not clear where those vans start. Of course it is the focus town, but the apparent focus does not always match the real focus. Or I simply forget to check it in the adrenaline rush of an "interrupted at" notification, when I want to re-bump a.s.a.p.
- It is not clear where those vans go. When I'm on reduced bandwidth I can't afford to leave the map for the trade overview. I'm forced to open "harvest" in a new tab if I don't want to wait minutes to get back to the map. Therefore I end up with lots of loading browser tabs for harvesting, and no clue what it was about when it finished loading minutes later. No mini map, no coordinates, just a form allowing me to send one or more vans on the
long road to nowhere. - When I eventually arrive on the trade overview page I'm delighted (not) to see that I'll bump my own vans unintentionally without chance to recall, and/or sent them from the wrong town to the other side of the map.
