   Hey guys,
I just started playing Illyriad and have been having a blast. I have a quick question for some of the more experienced players in Illyriad. I was originally going to post this in Technology & data but it looked like a ghost town in there based on frequency / dates of posts so I figured I would get a quicker response here.

What are some of the more frequently used / useful general purpose legal third party programs in Illyriad?  Stuff I'm looking for might be slight adjustments to map, easier town management, history trackers....etc.

Basically any programs you guys use that you feel greatly enhances your gameplay in Illyriad. Could you please post the program, what it does, AND a link that I might get it from?

	Illy tools is used by a wide variety of players. Contact Eaque in game to get access Butler is also used by a variety of Players. Contact Honored Mule to get access. There are a few others but these are the main 2 used in illy

	Illytools is available from the Chrome Store. It basically loads automatically in Chrome. It supposedly works in Firefox with a lot of fooling around, but I couldn't get it to operate. I don't believe it works in any other browser.

	Illytools scrapes troop and IP data and sends it back to Eaques central server - it's not secure unless you really want Consone to be able to track exactly what you are doing.

	That's not fair KP. The Devs have allowed it, so what you are saying is not possible.

	That's a fair warning for all 3rd party tools and services. In theory Illy stats could log search queries for perfectly legit reasons such as caching most wanted answers to search queries, and the author could see what others search. In practice he won't do that, because he already has the public data to determine who might be inactive, and doesn't need the users of his brilliant site for additional clues. Some ethical issues are rather hairy, I contributed to some info on the wiki, and recently stumbled over critical data. Eventually I decided to publish this as always, but obfuscated the fact of the publication.

	Yes well Devs also allow you to send IGM's will full reports on all your cities. Doesn't mean you should do it.

	I think illy tools is an awesome tool and i use it everyday without fear of my stats being miss used and abused. Eaque has really made it very easy to get loads of information for you to use in a short time and it really easy to use

	War and hostilities of every flavour have an annoying and repetitive habit of distorting reality. As someone has famously said, "Truth is the first casualty in war." I've used IllyTools continuously, and congratulate those who have contributed to making it an excellent suite of tools. I especially applaud Eaque for making it available for general use, and unless someone can provide irrefutable evidence of its alleged misuse/abuse, I will continue to sing it's and Eaque's praises.
