Note, the above method does, ofc, require you to be able to login via facebook anyway!

But there's a possible workaround if you're a facebook only login.

1. Go to http://elgea.illyriad.co.uk/Account/ForgottenPassword
2. Use the email address that *facebook* has on record for you
3. We'll send that email address a password reset link (check your spam)
4. Follow the instructions and set/reset your password with us
5. Logout of facebook, and go to the illy login page, and use your email address (as above) and your (illy) password

.. has the current lowdown.  API issues means that they're unable to authenticate your credentials etc to us (or indeed anyone else using the facebook API).

We are sorry that facebook registered players can't get into the game.  But the awful thing is that we can't do much about it, as it's entirely at facebook's end rather than ours (or anyone else's).

I'm sure they're working hard to address the issue, and hopefully they will have a resolution shortly.

I would strongly recommend that all players who rely solely on facebook for authentication access to their ingame illy account supplies alternate login details which can be done as follows in your http://elgea.illyriad.co.uk/#/Player/Account account details page:

a) Make sure your valid email address is in here:
    http://elgea.illyriad.co.uk/#/Player/Account?page=email

b) Define a password here:
    http://elgea.illyriad.co.uk/#/Player/Account?page=password

You can then login to illy by selecting the email address / password option instead of using facebook.

Apologies, but this one is beyond our control.

I am unable to log on using Facebook. I have tried a number of times. I was surprised I had a name/password for this site. Trying to make one resulted in an error msg. So I took a stab in the dark for a screen name/password. This is very frustrating.

It seems that most or all the people who are having problems normally log on through Facebook.

There are a number of players who are reporting difficulty logging in, whether through facebook, illyriad.co.uk or elgea.illyriad.co.uk.

Problems logging in seem to cross browsers.  Clearing cache and restarting the browser does not resolve the problem.

User states when trying to log into main account I get "This website has a redirect loop" and never loads, using FB to log in.

petitions are being created.
