It would be nice to have a button that zooms you all the way out in one go, instead of having to reload the page every time, especially since the map is very much the slowest part of the interface for me and presumably others (barely beating out the town screen)

Simple just type in 6 rather than 3 in the web address.
http://uk1.illyriad.co.uk/view_map.asp?Radius=3&CenterX=-24&CenterY=-12
becomes

I've already been using the web address to move around, don't know why it completely slipped my mind to use it for zooming.

I'm not sure about everybody else but I rarely (if ever) zoom in on the map. Instead of having a "min zoom" buttom or modifying the URL I think that the map default should be max zoom out.
