Updates 25JUN10
Trade Quests
Players who accept trade quests now have 2 options for dispatch:
  • Go to Marketplace - which functions as the old button did
  • Dispatch Goods - which now immediately dispatches the required goods (if you have them) and returns you to the Quest page

Should cut down on a little bit of that extra click misery ;>
Exploit Closed
A particularly heinous exploit involving self-sabotage has been closed.

4 players have been permanently banned from UK1 (and also from any future Illyriad servers) for 1 year.

A side effect of closing the loophole means that Saboteur units do not necessarily sabotage the next building in the building queue; in the event that a player is building 2 levels of the same building, the second (higher level) of the two will be the one sabotaged.
Multi-account BanHammering
A further 86 accounts have been suspended for being multi-accounts.

Players are reminded that you are allowed 2 accounts only.
Diplomatic Unit Type
Now appears on the Consulate Production and Move pages, so people can be sure of what unit type they're sending.

Update 24JUN10
New Player Protection
Brave new players (or experienced players starting a second account) may now voluntarily drop their New Player Protection.

To do this, simply go to your town's Castle and click on "Drop Protection".

Hello SC.
Nice updates.

Really like the one for the quests.
Can we optimize this more?

Example.
When i want to do a quest.
Step 1: Go to the town map / town summary
Step 2: Click on tavern
Step 3: Click on quest
Step 4: Expand questwindow
Step 5: Accept quest (window collapse)
Step 6: Expand questwindow
Step 7: Send required items

Repeat for step 3 to 7 for the other quests.
I was wondering if it is possible to stop the collapsing of the questwindows when you accept the quest.
Saves me 4 clicks in 1 city! haha. (have alot cities :().

Offcourse you can put this link in you favorites:
http://uk1.illyriad.co.uk/view_tavern_quests.asp?TownOrLand=0&PlotID=14
Saves you step 1 to 3.

Great updates...great to see you catching more people with more than the allowed number of accounts.
Wuzzel  i agree that that part needs looking at.

Absolutely, but being Javascript (which I loathe) I'll leave that for TC.

Any chance that some obvious related potential exploits (particularly regarding siege) were tested and also addressed if necessary?

Thank you for the quest changes and looking into  Wuzzel's observation. :)
