HI Illyrians, just sharing with you an organised hit on my town by jcx. He asked me to post the results here so you can see what you can do with defensive equipment in your town.

Two opposing forces clash against each other.

Cavalry comes into its own when able to strike hostile forces at will, and from unexpected directions - and nowhere is this more feasible than on open plains. Lightly armoured spear units, however, prefer terrain where there's some cover available.

Fighting defensively on open plains, cavalry draws strength from the ability to form and reform their lines of engagement depending on the direction of battle, and it is here where cavalry excels.

I had 7k SilverSteel Chainmail and 28k pikes to handle 2 cav hits totalling about 20k. I also added 10% prestige bonus for cav defence. So don't despair when the horsies are coming, value add!

A better strategy is sending me all your gold, prestige, advanced and basic res. No one will bother attacking you then. Fool proof.
