Having received an award from the devs for my work on the construction of my profile, I feel I am, if not uniquely, then more than adequately suited to address the new HTML editor the devs have implemented for such tasks as profile editing and IGM writing: It sucks. This conclusion was reached by myself after a period of tinkering with the new system, and it is by no means a fault of the reluctance to relinquish the old in favor of the new. It simply lacks the features the old system had. Gone are button options, which have given us the classic "Do Not Click" button at the bottom of T-O's profile. Gone are underlines. And most significantly, gone are the justification tools. No longer can we achieve the simple task of centering text on the page without using an unwieldy amount of spaces. Justification is a necessary part of any page layout, and to remove it is, to me, a very strange move. I sincerely hope the devs will reinstate many if not all of these features in the near future. /End rant ------------- "don't quote me on that" -Artefore |

Yes...having extensive experience with the old system, I will say that on first view, the new.system seems rather more limited. Is this a cost saving move? Just...NO ------------- |

I think the new editor is absolutely awesome. The old editor was so overloaded that it crawled on my iPad 4. I would literally type, and then wait several seconds for the typing to appear. This editor is snappy and responsive, a HUGE improvement for what was formerly one of the most problematic features of the game. Even the preview function works better. If you want center or underline, you can still switch to Source editor and add just about anything. My guess is that the devs can easily add widgets for underline and text justification. |

Could you share the basic codes, how to do underlining ect, with us less-abled coders? I have no clue at all about coding or anything generally. Also, I agree. Before I couldn't edit my profile or IGM's with anything more than text (I don't know why, adding gifs, pictures and links just froze) and I always thought this was because of my laptop. Now I realise it was all the software's fault, brilliant!

The most annoying thing about the new text editor i cant even edit my profiles with out losing all the colored text or larger text or the scrolling text under the evil bear image. Even sending out battle report look weird now. Yes you can use the source to do some of these changes but they dont last long at all (if you hit enter to start a new line most of that stuff will go poof. If you want to see for your self that even the editing the source doesnt work well send me a IGM and i will send you an old copy of my profile's source. Before  After |

A new suggestion: Is it possible to let us choose which editor we want to use? Maybe have a toggle between the two? The "lite" version for mobile, and the "full" version for everywhere else? The lite version is adequate for writing mails but woefully underpowered for everything else. ------------- "don't quote me on that" -Artefore |
