1. When the devs are going to introduce new content?
2. Why isn't there more tournaments?
3. How the community can help the devs speed up the development of the game?
4. Why the devs don't give us more tools to shape the game and make content of our own?
5. Is the rumor that Rikoo is a Sith Lord true?

1)  New content cost money.  See my post, The 20% Club.
2) Tournaments cost money.  See my post, The 20% Club.
3) See my post, The 20% Club.
4) Ditto.
5) Yes.

Any Questions?

(Probably the shortest post I've ever done....LOL)

Now for another related option.

Why do the players not run tournaments?  I actually posted one that we could have done, but got no responses....so I pulled it.

It appears obvious to me that many players are not here for the tournaments and many are.  Those who are not, because they have little to no chance of winning or because most tournaments are about war and war in Illy is costly, choose not to participate (at least I suppose these are the reasons though there may be others).

Those who want to have tournaments probably don't organize them for one of two reasons: they don't think they have a chance of winning (other alliances being much larger and more experienced) or they don't have the time to commit to actually organizing and running one....and I can speak from experience in other games where I've organized tournament type events...it takes a LOT of time and energy (and sometimes real $$ as well).

In the end, those who wish to have a more robust game with much more activity are usually bored because they expect too much from the game and not enough from themselves.  In a sandbox it take more effort to keep things lively and if you don't put the effort in, you don't get the results.  It isn't a pre-programmed video game where somebody else has programmed all your thrills.

So, I think, in the end nobody wants to spend what is needed to make a sandbox game truly exciting and they don't want to risk what they have built but would rather hunker down and be stagnate.  But I could be wrong about this.

While I'm quite happy to be involved in tournaments within my own Alliance, I've not been sold on other player-run tournaments. I believe there was one several months ago with teams where it seemed like you'd have to leave your own alliance and join another to participate, but maybe I just misunderstood.

Either way, I'd REALLY rather have a game-wide, full-scale, Dev-run tournament where there are significant prizes such as Prestige and special units that we don't otherwise have access to.

ILLY has evolved!! this is not a pay to play game so things will take time.

Just sit back and enjoy what you have Thumbs Up

Game evolution requires player evolution.  If the majority of players are satisfied with the status quo, change will be (is) slow and difficult.  You want change?  Be change - stir stuff up, push players out of their happy place.

This post and the comments contained with in it are why there is 0 communication from the devs on what they are working on.
As soon as something is not delivered or no updates in a while, everyone grabs the pitchforks.

Play the game for what it is, not what you expect it to be.
