When I send out assassins to kill commanders:
  • the diplo rating remains unchanged if the mission is successfull
  • the diplo rating rises when my assassins are detected and killed
Why is that?

I was recently educated by Berde that successful missions (and apparently some failed missions) only result in points if there are defending diplomats.

I believe that successful scout missions [strangely] register on one's attacking score. Perhaps it is the same for assassins?

Going by what I have seen diplo ranking changes based on the total upkeep of the units you have overcome or successfully defended against. If there is nothing there defending your ranking will not change.

I see that logic Joda but I would like to receive an additional bonus of xx points per commander killed.

In general, I think all players should even be rewarded a xx points minimum bonus per attempt for scouting, spying thieving, attacking et cetera. This stimulates actions!
