From the meeting part one

This is well enough, but what is land without water?’  And so the Crow called forth in Kumala the river Ataman, and from it sprang great oceans, mighty rivers, large lakes, tiny streams and small lakes, lochs and tarns.  The rising of the water was not without consequence for the inhabitants of the land.  Some cities were caught in the floods and were saved only by the power of the great mage Tenaril. The Crow looked then upon his work and said that it was a beginning.

if you look at the following site

http://elgea.illyriad.co.uk/#/World/Map/-766/-352

you see a forest that leads to the south west if you follow the trees it leads to:

http://elgea.illyriad.co.uk/#/World/Map/-743/-432/25 which is a tributary, and it then continues flowing in the direction to the bitter sea:

http://elgea.illyriad.co.uk/#/World/Map/-904/-587/25

Notice the ocean squares, that means it is deeper then the surrounding region, IE the ocean eventually got larger then the banks and the original stayed deeper then the surrounding areas from the great bank.

http://elgea.illyriad.co.uk/#/World/Map/-891/-655/25

following the ocean squares still leading out into the bitter sea:

http://elgea.illyriad.co.uk/#/World/Map/-891/-655/25

the river leaving the ataman and arriving in the bitter sea.

If people could please help me out and post screen shots it would be greatly helpful

The Atagek live in the swamps and jungle of southern Kumala, which is also home to the many streams that branch out from the main Ataman River. This verdant jungle and the surrounding swamplands are ancient and remain untouched by the other civilized cultures in Illyria. Other humans refuse settling anywhere near this hot and humid hellhole.

I was told there would be no geomorphology in Illyriad.

This was prior to the first age, so the equivalent to the ice age of illy, time frame. It has changed in the eons.

Now an effort to be helpful...  I followed the "deep" river up to the north and noticed at two different places where the deep river terminates to what is now dry land.  To be more specific, in each of these places are forests which wind their ways to the north like a meandering river with some mountains in between.  Screen shots are provided.

Since I'm out of the loop here... why is there interest in this story?

It is important because it was posted in the message part 1 and in a faction lore, it could be part of a clue. For what, IDK yet. Still pondering that

the river continues  into the desert and all around western illy, It shows how the rivers have morphed over the years and how the desert has dried up the major part of the river

The river is massive,

http://elgea.illyriad.co.uk/#/World/Map/-918/-536/25 a mountain lake, feeding the area

http://elgea.illyriad.co.uk/#/World/Map/-975/-575/25

feeding from multiple mountains and the desert. This affects the whole entire side of the map

It is epic. Half of Elgea is involved in the river.

These are all locations where the river flows into elgea, I believe that this is either one massive river, or multiple rivers, it is an epic river. all of Elgea is involved, This makes me rethink all of illy geography.

Also, go to your strategic map and turn off everything BUT water.

Kinda' cool. Will look into this.

That's not even quite right, due to most of the river dried out, you need to have on water and terrain. Follow the dark blue water north that directly touches land, that's the clue, and then follow the land that seems to follow a distinct pattern. Like forests that are thin only going one way away from water, and valleys between mountains that should hold water but don't and finally, in the middle of mountains a huge Forrest that should be a lake from the melting snow

That river flows from the top left of the map.

If you look at the map you'll notice, if you haven't already, that a large part of Elgea is composed of three massive islands. Meilla, Keppen and Tor Carrock making up most of one. Perrigor, Turalia, Arran and Azura another one with parts of Western Realms and Lan Larosh forming the smallest.

I am the first to notice this and I have exclusive rights to naming the islands...
