90 days they just sit there, taking up space, doing nothing, just sitting giving the impression that the game is full of non players, giving hope that maybe, just maybe one or two might change their mind and reenter the game and to give a false impression that that they is actually more playing this game then really are? how many others think this does more harm than good? how many others think that this promotes a slacker play where truely active players are turned off by this game policy? what is the game going to look like after the new sitting rule takes effect? when are the devs going to wake up and realize that this poilcy might actually be turning off players that are active? what do others think? how much time should there be before deletion, suggest 30 days here.

I think changing it to 30 days after the initial wave is over would be a good thing, but for those alliances that have many cities they are trying to reclaim, depending on the state of readiness of those that want those cities, 90 day may seem to them to be too little.
I do agree though, after all is said and done and the first wave of cities that need reclamation or razing has been finished that 30 days is more than sufficient. By that time it will only happen on occasion and there wont be a huge influx of cities ripe for capture by little ones trying to grow.

Good arguments. I too think the 90-day-sitter-rule can be changed or re-altered to something more suitable for the community.

Maybe adding a Vacation mode function, that you can pay for, to extend from 30days to 90days. If the account means enough to the person, they can invest in this Vacation mode. This will I think not only increase the income of the game, but might weed out even more inactives.

I would never pay for this vacation mode but i do believe its a good idea, although i feel even thirty days is quite a bit. Make it like 23 days

You can change your email address in the accounts and preferences page in game. Player suspended accounts will not be contacted. Accounts under siege etc will not be abandoned; until it has finished.

The in-game account sitting mechanism is the method to use to keep your account active if you need to be away for an extended period of time.

If they changed the time when accounts are wiped player would just keep the account in play by placing a siege on the city so they would have time to capture the cities

hey... who cares about the total player numbers? Illy doesn't display ads, so at least fro this side there's no preasure to uphold meaningless numbers, and I also don't see the Devs running around with their own advertisment, bragging with numbers.
All the prizes they got were for quality and/or click numbers of public votes...

The 90 days are a good compromise, as I indeed knew of players not able to log on for such a long time. And it's Illy's big advantage that you actually can come back after 3 month and keep on playing.

I know, that doesn't fit the active-gameplay-faction here in the forums, but please keep up the 90 days. As for the fear of almighty multi sitters... noone invests anything into an account left for 3 month anymore (well, OK, pull out the last money, siege the 3 best cities and then shoot out...)... and 30 days would not improve anything on that...

It is 60 days or less for those who have not ever bought prestige. For small players in particular, their accounts often go poof quite fast. Being able to take slightly longer breaks without worrying is a minor benefit of prestige buying, but an important one for some people. I myself am a very active player but I was once effectively gone from the game for medical reason for a couple months. I am glad I didn't get deleted.

90 days is actually not long in this game considering all the players who have played for many years and the time it take to, for example, get to 9 or 10 cities. I think it is a good compromise, I would not want it lessened. It also gives people time to siege and capture towns they know are on dead accounts.

There will always be some inactive accounts slowly dying. As well as a ton of towns appearing and dying 10 minutes later as people sample the game. The majority of the players in the game are still active though. And there is enough land area for now that a few inactive towns don't stop new players from finding nice spots.

As for 'slacker play'... why is it bad to have a game you can play at your leisure, take break forms occasionally and generally have fun with without making it a full time job? To me, that is one of the best aspects of the somewhat slow pace of illy.
