Any way to get rid of a commander so you can assign the slot to a new one? Other than sending him to a suicide mission, of course.

ithink not, at least for now...

but, that rises another question...
is there any way to get rid of the dead commanders ghosts at the commander's tab on barracks? an exorcism...a proper funeral...something to make them stop hunting the tab?..

Thanks, Thexion. Smile

Return the soldiers you wish to disband to your unit pool, and then go into the Military Summary / Present screen.  You'll then have the option to disband the units.

The same goes for Diplomatic units; wait for them to come back from a mission and then Diplomatic Summary / Present screen, disband.

You can also retire unwanted commanders this way (although this simply "kills" them; they can still be resurrected if you find you want them back later).

Does this mean the slot used by that commander will be freed after he is "killed"?
